What is your purpose? In other words, why do you exist?
The Bible says, "Apart from me, you can do nothing (John 15:5)." God, the Creator of the Universe, has the key to your life's purpose. It begins with how you were created. God created man in his image, on purpose, for a special purpose. "In life journey, we discover who we are, how we are wired, and why we exist" (ELCW-Angela). As babies, we depend on our parents to groom, prune, and teach us how to live. From the beginning, when we enter the world, light exposes us to the beauty of colorful, visual, and spacious surroundings. Our eyes are barely open, but we sense, see, feel, and hear the world differently from the wet and dark comforts of our mother's womb.
When the Earth was set into space, God thought to bring light into the world and expose

life to light (Gen 1:26-27). He crafted man from his image (Gen 2:7) and surrounded him with everything precious and reasonable in his sight. Purpose had just begun, and it was extraordinary! Man and woman could enjoy their existence without any hindrances (Gen 1:28). Jesus came because of the fall of man. He came to reconnect humanity to God's love, light, and proper worship of Him. Purpose was designed to worship God. The more we know God, the more we understand how to function. We understand his call (John 15:16, 2 Thess 1:11-12), how we are made (Ps 139), and why we exist (Matt 5:16).
Purpose is designed to relate to life in several aspects taken from Matt 22:37-38.
Know God: Without knowing your Creator, how can one understand who they are and how they should relate to others? The Bible, the number one best seller of all times teaches who God is (Ps 119:105; Matt 4:4; 2 Tim 3:16-17) and how we can better relate to His creation.
Know Self: Our purpose is to understand how God has created, wired, and gifted us. Personality assessments have been compiled to help one understand their temperament, behavior patterns, and how we interact with others. Know Others: God expects us to serve others as Jesus' was the ultimate model of service. His heart of compassion demonstrates God's love for the world. Check out his interactions with others in the gospels. Knowing others speak of our relationships in general. Your purpose may be to raise your children and do all you can to teach them God's character and their fit in the world. Administration may be your interest. Work with your hands and heart to make the industry profitable. Your work ethic, diligence, and team leadership will give attention to the God in you. Are you passionate about the social sciences? God will use you to produce change in others' mental, emotional, and physical state. Do you work in manufacturing or agriculture? Be diligent in working with your hands and treat your customers fairly, and you will be blessed. If it's in science, God will use you to bring good health and wellness to others. Engineering can bring your company good production and sales. If it's ministry, all glory goes to the Maker of Heaven and Earth! You get the picture! No matter what you do in life, be purposeful, and you will be blessed.
