We've all heard the phrase "rise above your circumstances" in various settings. To "rise" means to elevate or increase. Rising above your circumstances helps you gain experience, skill, and strength in any situation. Here are four ways to "R-I-S-E" above your circumstances. Keep these tips in mind.
R=Resistance: It's a training ground that keeps you grounded and helps you succeed under pressure. Resistance provides unexpected benefits and helps you overcome limits. As Scripture says, “If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small” (Prov. 24:10) and, "The testing of your faith produces perseverance..." (James 1:3). Don’t become the target; target the opposition!
I=Improvement: Life requires growth. Without it, fulfillment lacks. Progress can be inhibited by circumstances, leaving us feeling stuck. Are you improving in every area of life? There's always room to grow, so go for it.
S=Strength: You build strength every time you endure difficulty. Even when it feels impossible, push through. God sustains us, enabling endurance. Remember, "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." Trust yourself—keep pushing, and you’ll emerge stronger.
E = Empowerment means having control over our lives. God gives purpose, but we own our path. Empowerment comes from experience, motivation, and inspiring others. It grows with each step toward our goals. Appreciate your journey and empower others along the way.
I hope these four life tips on "R-I-S-E" inspire you. Continue rising above your circumstances to resist adversity, improve, gain strength, and empower others!
Take Care.
