A-B-O-U-N-D in HOPE!

To "abound" biblically is to "be present in great quantity, to overflow, or to increase significantly, often referring to God's grace, love, or a person's faith and good works." Now, it could also have a negative connotation because people can choose to "abound" positively in God's character or negatively, against His character. Those who desire to flourish positively increase their lives by embodying God's character. Those who take negative actions tend to do things contrary to God's character. We were created in God's image to thrive in His good pleasure and good works. But as we "abound," we must remember that He offers the assignment, and we respond with patience and caution. "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work" (2 Cor. 9:8).

He will lead us to do several things:

1. Aspire higher: He says to trust Him and not lean on our own understanding. This action requires walking in faith and counting on His leading. We must go beyond our fears and seek His wisdom, courage, and strength. He blesses what He has purposed in our hearts.

2. Build boldly: He gives us the confidence and courage to exceed our own expectations. As we seek His guidance and direction, He will guide us with His eyes.

3. Own your journey: There is something special about taking seriously what you do and taking full responsibility for your actions. Sometimes we must reset or repurpose our goals. It is always okay to refresh your plans.

4. Unlocking your potential: You will never fully understand your potential unless you keep trying. Keep in mind that the shoes you wore yesterday will contribute to your potential today. Unlock every open door available to you.

5. Nourish your gifts: If you cannot discern your gifts, chat with a coach, counselor, or advisor. He/she will help you. If you know your gifts, stretch yourself in these areas. Mostly, we walk in our gifts, but they are not visible to us.

6. Do it with passion: Abounding is only for passionate people. When we abound, we are in an unstoppable mold. We pray and move because God has given us His stamp of approval. Passionate people are those with hearts of gold!
